About the role

As our Advertising and Partnerships Manager, you'll:

  • Work closely with the editors of Renew and Sanctuary magazines to grow advertising partnerships and support subscription growth.
  • Play a key role in securing sponsorships for Sustainable House Day and other flagship events.
  • Help shape the voice of Renew through marketing campaigns that reach new audiences and inspire action on sustainability.

This is a chance to use your marketing and relationship-building skills to directly support climate action and community-led change.


What you'll be doing

  • Growing and maintaining strong relationships with advertisers and sponsors.
  • Meeting advertising and partnership targets for our magazines, Sanctuary and Renew, and our flagship event, Sustainable House Day.
  • Developing and delivering creative marketing strategies to grow magazine subscriptions (including digital campaigns).
  • Coordinating advertising bookings, enquiries, and accounts – ensuring smooth communication between clients, designers, and our finance team.
  • Producing clear, engaging, and accurate marketing materials.
  • Advising the team on ways to strengthen and maintain sponsor relationships.
  • Supporting the wider team with occasional projects and events.

What we're looking for

You have:

  • A strong understanding of multimedia marketing and sales.
  • Experience building relationships with a variety of stakeholders – from businesses to NGOs and government.
  • A track record of creating partnerships, closing deals, and managing contracts with care and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills – you write clearly, speak with confidence, and build rapport easily.

  • Confidence with database management and design tools such as Canva and

  • Knowledge of – or a passion for – sustainability issues.

It's also great if you have

  • Relevant qualifications in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Work arrangements

  • This is a part-time role (0.6 EFT, flexible hours).
  • Hybrid model – mix of working from home and our Melbourne office.
  • Occasional out-of-hours events and potentially some interstate travel depending on your location.
