We are currently offering an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Trainer Assessor for our Gold Coast campus face-to-face delivery of our VET IT qualifications.

Melbourne Metropolitan College (Active Transition Training) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with a high-standing reputation as a vocational institute that offers in-person quality education for both domestic and international students around Australia.

Qualified Trainer Assessors needed to deliver face-to-face in the Gold Coast:

  1. Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security & Telecommunications Network Engineering) ICT50220
  2. Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security & Telecommunications Network Engineering) ICT60220

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver highly engaging sessions to encourage strong attendance, active involvement, and successful completions, all via quality assurance practices with training and assessing.
  • Comply with: the 2025 ASQA Standards requirements; organisational policies and procedures; and industry standards.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of training programs by: gathering feedback; measuring the learning outcomes to ensure the desired results are achieved; develop and continue use of engaging activities; conducting assessments.
  • Engage in: continuous professional development; seek feedback from all stakeholders; and continuously refining training materials, methods; validations.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a VET Trainer Assessor
  • Relevant VET qualifications
  • Relevant and current industry experience (minimum of three years since 2020)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE minimum)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in using necessary software and tools
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry (ICT) standards and the 2025 ASQA Standards
  • Continuous professional development evidence per term for Stream and VET for 2025 (minimum)
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and implement organisational P&Ps
  • Ensure the enrichment of the course program via involving your students with industry, guest speakers, practical/virtual applications, current industry information, etc.
