About Our Role:

Are you an organised, motivated, and proactive professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced healthcare environment? The General Medicine Department at John Hunter Hospital is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer to join our multidisciplinary team of administration staff, doctors, and nurses.

In this dynamic position, you will play a key part in supporting the daily operations of the General Medicine Unit. Your responsibilities will include:

• Clinical typing
• Managing phone inquiries
• Handling digital medical records
• Coordinating clinic bookings
• Performing a range of administrative duties
• Managing room bookings
• Assisting with Grand Rounds, including flyer creation and liaison with presenters
• Distributing the General Medicine Roster and On-Call Roster
• Coordinating distribution of Advanced Trainee Education Sessions
