Housing Taskforce

The Housing Taskforce is driving urgent, whole-of-government action to accelerate housing development approvals and address post-consent requirements. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to solving one of NSW's most critical challenges, housing supply.

The Housing Taskforce team collaborates with representatives from 14 government agencies, bringing together diverse expertise to deliver meaningful outcomes for communities across NSW.

We are looking for individuals with a broad range of skills who are proactive, solutions-focused, and thrive in dynamic, innovative environments.

The role

This varied and interesting role will support the provision of case management to facilitate housing and the development of policy and processes undertaken by the Taskforce. Using your analytical skills to help identify and resolve emerging housing development issues, you will also use your insights to contribute to recommendations to shape policy and program development. With a focus on stakeholder engagement and consultation, the ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be the key to success in this role.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Solid time management and organisational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of planning legislation, statutory requirements, and policies applying to planning processes

What is an essential requirement:

  • Degree in planning, law, environmental management, engineering or other relevant
