About us
Burgundy Street Family Medical is located in the heart of Heidelberg. Located opposite Austin Hospital and next to Warringal Private Hospital, we are a busy family owned GP practice with all modern medical equipment, friendly doctors and staff members. We have been providing quality care to our community since 2016. We use Best Practice software.
We are looking for a receptionist to work full-time or part-time hours including some Saturdays
Qualifications & experience
- Health care sector experience is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of software such as Best Practice and Hotdoc is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills including a professional and personal phone manner
- Possess remarkable customer service skills
- Multitasker and energetic
- Attention to detail
- Able to build rapport with people and warm demeanour
- Passionate and driven
- Must be a team player
- Neat and professional presentation
Tasks & responsibilities
- Greeting patients and welcoming them to the clinic
- Assisting patients with their phone and email inquires in courteous and efficient manner
- Scheduling appointments over the phone
- Processing Medicare billing and private payments with utmost accuracy
- Scanning and filing patients records, results and other correspondence
- Liaising with referring doctors, other health professionals and team members in a professional manner
- Administrative support and other ad hoc duties
- Perform administrative duties delegated by the management
- Maintaining reception area in a tidy and welcoming manner
- Work cooperatively and independently
