Role Overview:

Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for ensuring the company's debtors are managed within credit terms, and payments received in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete debtor reconciliations by ensuring statement balances of suppliers match to report
  • Use system generated debtor reports for follow up with debtors regarding amounts in arrears, and proactively contact suppliers via telephone
  • Liaise with management (site and office) to ensure all debtors data and information is kept up to date in the organisation's system
  • Assist customers with queries related to invoices and payments
  • Produce claims and periodic invoices for customers and check documentation for completeness and accuracy ensuring all claims are completed and properly authorised
  • Submit all progress claims to relevant customer in accordance with contractual requirements and attach all required submission paperwork
  • Ensure that all RCTIs are posted into the system before accounts are rolled. Any required commentary is to be provided to the CFO/Management for any issues.
  • Maintain regular and proactive communications with all stakeholders, internally and externally

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in credit control, within construction or related industries
  • Track record of proactive debtor management
  • Ability to be discrete with sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work to strict time constraints
  • Certificate in Accounting, or similar

Note that this role would be office based, 5 days per week.
