Head Trainer – Strength & Conditioning

Location: The Yard Gym, Kew (Flagship Studio Opening September)

The Yard Gym is opening its flagship studio in Kew late September, and we're offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced fitness professional to step into a leadership role as Head Trainer. This is your chance to become the face of our studio, lead an exceptional team, and inspire our members every single day.

As Head Trainer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the member experience—delivering high-energy, results-driven workouts, mentoring our coaching team, and helping build a vibrant fitness community. You'll work closely with our Studio Manager to ensure every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed, supported, and empowered.

Role Overview
  • Full-time position with leadership and coaching responsibilities
  • Hands-on role delivering world-class training sessions
  • Guide and mentor coaches to elevate team performance
  • Collaborate on programming and studio operations

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience leading and inspiring teams
  • Strong background in group fitness and strength & conditioning
  • A track record of building and retaining client relationships
  • Energetic, engaging personality with a member-first mindset
  • Passion for creating unforgettable fitness experiences
Required Certifications
  • Certificate III & IV in Fitness (or higher)
  • Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coaching (Level 2 preferred)
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Solid understanding of exercise science and group training
