Position Summary:

The casual NDIS Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the homes or facilities of NDIS participants. This includes ensuring that all cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard, following individualised service plans, and respecting the specific needs of each participant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
  • Clean bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and bedrooms to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Dispose of waste properly and maintain an organized and sanitary environment.
  • Follow individual cleaning plans for each participant as specified in their NDIS plan.
  • Respect participants' preferences and privacy while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Report any safety hazards, maintenance needs, or concerns to the relevant supervisor.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to prevent the spread of infections and ensure the safety of participants.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in disability support or aged care.
  • Understanding of NDIS guidelines and commitment to providing participant-centered care.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and individualised plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform cleaning tasks as required.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • [Optional: First Aid Certification]
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
