You will be responsible for leading the clinical and operational activities of the Royal Children's Hospital Gender Service (RCH GS) while providing clinical and operational supervision to the other RCHGS psychologists.This position provides a weekly outpatient clinic, the required working days for this position are on Thursdays and Fridays, any applicants unable to commit to these two days will not be considered. Classification for this position will range from PM1 – PM5.What you'll achieve:Provide child-centred, family-focused care through partnership with parents/ families.Develop and implement operational service plans and ensure staff participation in planning process. Provide expert evidence based clinical mentoring, education and training consultation and supervision to psychologist staff and students.  Identify areas for continuous improvement within clinical service area, and initiate, plan and evaluate relevant service improvement activities. Your skills and experienceCompletion of accredited Master or Doctoral program in a relevant area of practice recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. (Note Master of Psychology qualification does not meet this criterion) Hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (Board) Have a minimum of eight years post-qualification experience as a psychologist.Hold an Area of Practice Endorsement with the Board in Clinical Psychology Hold Board-approved supervisor status, including Board approval as a 'Registrar Program Principal Supervisor'.Extensive knowledge of child development, paediatric mental health, and impacts of minority stress on mental health in a paediatric context.Experience working with LGBTQIA+ young people. Experience as a leader or manager in a multidisciplinary team. – desirableIf this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.About the DepartmentThe Department of Adolescent Medicine provides care and management to adolescents and their families via a range of specialist multidisciplinary services including the Gender Service, Eating Disorders Service, Chronic Illness Peer Support (ChIPS), Young People's Health Services and inpatient and outpatient medical service.  The RCH Gender Service is a Victorian state-wide service providing multidisciplinary care for trans and gender diverse (TGD) children and adolescents up to 16 years of age.
