Rose Garden Health Care Pty Ltd proudly operates Themar Heights Supported Residential Service (SRS) in Warrnambool, providing a warm, safe and supportive environment where every resident is valued. Fully registered and regulated under the Social Service Regulation Act, Themar Heights offers 22 shared rooms and 1 single room, all equipped with essential furniture and private facilities. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality care that promotes dignity, wellbeing and independence for all residents.
Responsibilities:
· Personal hygiene, grooming, manicuring and oral hygiene.
· Continence management.
· Communicate with all residents effectively including the maintenance and the fitting of hearing aids and glasses as required.
· Assist those residents/clients with challenging behaviors, by participation in the development and implementation of an individually designed management plan.
· The residents/clients mobility, by assisting with walking, use of wheelchairs and other aids and transfers.
· Support and assist residents with food and fluids as required.
· Maximise the residents'/clients' physical function by assisting with rehabilitative treatment such as physiotherapy exercises.
· Assist the nursing staff with treatments as specified
· Assist the nursing staff by observing and reporting promptly any changes in the condition or well being of residents.
· Ensure the residents privacy, dignity and respect are maintained at all times.
· Ensure that no residents experiences isolation and loneliness unless determined by choice.
· Perform other duties within scope of preparation and as directed.
Main tasks:
· Provide high-quality personal care to residents including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, continence management, and oral hygiene.
· Assist residents with mobility, including walking, use of wheelchairs, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
· Support residents with meals, hydration, and feeding assistance.
· Assist with rehabilitative programs such as physiotherapy exercises under supervision.
· Observe, monitor, and promptly report any changes in residents' health and wellbeing to nursing staff.
· Assist with fitting and maintaining hearing aids, glasses, and other personal devices.
· Provide emotional and social support to reduce isolation and loneliness, and encourage participation in recreational activities.
· Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, and independence at all times.
· Assist with light domestic duties including bed making, tidying, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
· Document care provided, including progress notes, behavior/activity charts, incident reports, and other required records.
· Follow infection control, workplace health and safety procedures, and attend mandatory training.
Qualification Requirements:
· Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification .
· At least one year of relevant work experience in aged care, disability services, or community care.
· Demonstrated knowledge of personal care practices, infection control, manual handling, and workplace health and safety.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a care team and communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff.
· Demonstrated empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to supporting residents' dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Up-to-date with mandatory training.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
