Assistant Florist / Customer Service – Bloomin Boxes

Location: Perth, WA

Part-time / Full-time

About Us

Bloomin Boxes is a creative Perth-based florist specialising in fresh flower arrangements, bespoke hampers, and thoughtful gifts for all occasions. We pride ourselves on quality, creativity, and excellent customer service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Florist to join our team who can combine floristry skills with customer service and admin support.

The Role

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be working closely with our lead florist to prepare, design, and deliver beautiful arrangements and hampers while also handling front-of-house and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Floristry Duties

  • Create floral arrangements, bouquets, hampers, and gift boxes to order
  • Assist in flower conditioning, care, and preparation
  • Support with event and corporate flower work
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inspiring workspace

Customer Service & Admin

  • Greet and serve customers in-store with a friendly and professional approach
  • Answer phone and online enquiries, take orders accurately, and process payments
  • Assist with order management (printing, packing, delivery coordination)
  • Keep track of stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Support with social media, online store updates, and general admin tasks

About You

We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, and enjoys working in a team environment.

Essential Skills & Qualities

  • Previous floristry experience (arrangements, bouquets, hampers)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer and admin skills (POS systems, emails, order entry)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Keen eye for detail, colour, and design

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Formal floristry qualifications
  • Experience in retail / giftware / events
  • Social media or photography skills for content creation
