The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Designer to become part of our growing Technical Team.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a team of skilled Technical Designers and the Commercial Sales team to design and deliver a diverse range of projects within set timeframes.

Our projects vary in scale and complexity, giving you the opportunity to apply your technical expertise and understanding of manufacturing processes across a wide range of products.

About You

You're a team player with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to design. You can plan, prioritise, and execute tasks independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and previous experience in the construction or manufacturing industries are essential. SolidWorks proficiency is a must.

Key Responsibilities


• Conceptualise, develop and detail products across a range of industries and project types


• Produce shop drawings and technical documentation, including installation drawings


• Collaborate with team members, management, clients and suppliers


• Deliver projects on time and within budget


• Provide regular progress updates to key stakeholders

Skills & Experience


• Minimum 5 years' experience in a design or engineering role (e.g. Industrial Designer, Product Designer/Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Draftsperson)


• Proficiency in SolidWorks for both conceptual and technical documentation (KeyShot, DraftSight and DriveWorks experience highly regarded)


• Proven ability to design for manufacturability and implement best practices


• Excellent project management, time management and organisational abilities


• Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, solutions-focused mindset


• High attention to detail and strong revision control


• Ability to interpret technical, architectural and shop drawings


• Excellent knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication


• Willingness to take a hands-on approach to ensure design functionality
