PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a member of the global software development team, this role will be to enhance, maintain and support the Company's in-house electronic trading system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To enhance, maintain and support the in-house trading platform 
  • Collaborate and engage with fellow team members including Traders, Quants and Infrastructure personnel
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions to ensure low-latency/scalable/efficient/reliable solutions
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and equivalent work experience.
Skills
  • Strong demonstrable skills and track record in programming C++
  • Strong demonstrable skills and track record in developing on a Linux/gcc platform 
  • Experience with profiling/optimising software algorithms
  • Experience with network programming, multithreaded programming, inter-process communications
  • Experience with distributed architecture systems
Attributes
  • Team-player, with a personable and friendly approach
  • Strong problem solving skills with a keen eye for details
  • Self-motivated and creative, with a drive to deliver high-quality code
  • Ability to deliver on time
Desirable
  • Financial experience: market feeds and order execution API's, derivatives trading
  • Software programming experience in C and Python
  • Messaging middleware experience
  • Specialist in low latency solutions
