About The Role
The Way Out There program is part of MacKillop Family Services Southern Services, within the Out-of-Home Care (OoHC) Division. Based in Dandenong South, the program supports young people in the Southern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne who are unable to live with their families due to complex needs and challenging behaviours.
Funded to provide 40 placements, the program offers a continuum of care, from short-term to long-term residential support, alongside case management and an Enhanced Lead Tenant model. Our focus is on creating safe, stable environments where young people can begin to heal, grow, and thrive.
This role sits within the Southern Services Division and reports to the Residential Care Case Management Coordinator. You'll be part of a dedicated team committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
This is a full-time ongoing opportunity based in Dandenong South, VIC within our Residential Care (OOHC) Southern Services program. The position reports to the Residential Case Management Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Relevant Diploma or Bachelor Degree with experience; or Relevant Certificate with substantial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in leading a team, and support in the delivery of high-quality services in a positive work environment.
- Well-developed skills in assessing risks, needs, and safety of children, young people and families.
- Expertise in responding creatively to the needs of children, young people, and families with complex issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within the community sector, including residential care, home based care, disability, family specialist and family reunification.
- Experience in case management and the ability to effectively manage complex caseloads is highly desirable (particularly in supporting young people with diverse and challenging needs).

- Remuneration - Hourly Rate of $55.72 to $58.19 as outlined in the SCHCADS Award Level 6, dependent on qualifications and experience.

- Valid and current Driver's Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
- Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles).
