About The Role
The Infocentre is seeking to fill current and anticipated vacant Senior Project Officer role/s across its three work streams: Operations, Support and Engagement. We will also create a merit pool from this process to draw from as further opportunities arise.

Senior Project Officers carry out, under limited direction, work that is complex, technical and/or sensitive in nature. They support projects, initiatives, and activities across the Infocentre that contribute to the area's priorities and goals and drive process efficiency and improvements.

Senior Project Officers largely work in line with established practices, regulations, best practice principles, operating instructions, and procedures. They seek direction from more senior staff on complex or sensitive decisions as necessary.

What You Will Do As a Senior Project Officer

  • Undertake research, analysis and evaluation processes and communicate findings to contribute to strategic and operational projects
  • Prepare written correspondence, guidance, briefs and reports for internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assess and monitor reports from the public based on compliance with laws administered by the ACCC and its Compliance and Enforcement Policy, ensuring relevant matters are referred to triage.

About You
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading a service delivery team or project team in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • A well-developed ability to organise and prioritise a demanding workload across multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, develop, deliver, and review training programs for peers and lower classification levels (contributing to PIO training and the on-boarding APS5 or APS6 staff).

Candidates located in Canberra will be highly desirable, particularly for operational roles as the contact handling team is based in Canberra. However high performing candidates from other locations where other Infocentre staff are located will also be considered, including Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

To find out more about us and the role, please read the Candidate Kit.
