The Role:

We're seeking a capable and motivated Accountant to join our team. In this role you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including income tax return lodgements, superannuation and BAS/IAS.
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries, reconciliations and account analyses.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Strong understanding of tax accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (Xero/MYOB/Cashflow Manager, etc)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to work to deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly Regarded but not a requirement:

  • Experience using HandiSoft.
  • Hold or working towards a CPA or CA.
