About the role

We are seeking an experienced Truck and dog Driver to join the team at Newcastle Demolition. This is a full-time role based in Newcastle NSW 2300. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from demolition sites, playing a vital role in the success of our operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate and maintain heavy vehicles such as semi-trailers and rigid trucks
  • Load, transport, and unload demolition materials and equipment
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately
  • Adhere to all road rules, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Assist with general site duties as required
  • Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of your assigned vehicle

What we're looking for

  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
  • Demonstrated experience driving large commercial vehicles, ideally in a construction or demolition environment
  • Strong knowledge of road rules and safety regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A commitment to safe work practices and a proactive approach to safety
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
