About the role

Nurse2u is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team on a contract basis in Southport, Queensland. As an Experienced Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and social engagement

  • Medications Assist

  • Providing compassionate and person-centred support to help clients achieve their individual goals and maintain their independence

  • Collaborating with allied health professionals and the client's support network to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care

  • Documenting client progress and maintaining detailed records in accordance with organisational policies and procedures

  • Advocating for client needs and communicating effectively with the Nurse2u team to ensure the highest standards of care

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Support Worker or similar role in the aged care or disability support sectors

  • Kinowledge of assisting wih medications and adminstering - Training provided

  • Strong understanding of the needs of elderly and disabled clients and the ability to provide personalised, empathetic support

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families

  • Demonstrated experience in documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of clients

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
