Salary range:
Level 7 $112,491 to $119,216 plus super (Drainage Engineer)
- Level 8 $122,148 to $129,054 plus super (Senior Drainage Engineer)

About This Position
The City is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated drainage engineering professional to join our Engineering Design team. This role manages and provides technical expertise in all aspects of the City's engineering drainage planning and design responsibilities.
The Senior Drainage Engineer will undertake coordination responsibilities including (but not limited to):
- Coordinate drainage projects while using the City's corporate software and asset management systems
- Review of the City's drainage plans and update where required
- Provide advice to Subdivision Development team with the management of stormwater
- Regular assessment of community needs in relation to the adopted strategic plan and develop appropriate responses and strategies
- Coordinate consultation strategies including facilitating public meetings associated with drainage programs
What We Are Looking For
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Comprehensive understanding of, and substantial experience in drainage management practices including knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, acts and guidelines
- Comprehensive stormwater drainage modelling and design experience using software such as InfoWorks ICM and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external staff and stakeholders
- High level prioritisation skills with ability to manage tasks effectively and accurately
- Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a small professional team and independently

Essential Requirements
- Qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Driver's licence.
- Current National Police clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
