With a commitment to excellence and a reputation for quality service, we are expanding our team and seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our dedicated and skilled workforce.

Position Overview:

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic at Langtree's Machinery Service, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of diesel engines and heavy vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and determine repair needs.

  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and overhauls on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other heavy equipment components.

  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment accurately.

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to complete tasks.

  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs and efficiently complete tasks.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labour hours.

Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics (AUR/MEM).

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment.

  • Cummins and CAT experience are desired.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements.

  • Valid driver's license.
