Enrolled Nurses/Certified Community Support Worker required for Night Shift in Hervey Bay (AVAILABLE FOR SLEEPOVERS)

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Travelling between customer's homes and providing individual and personalised support to customers in accordance with their support plans and/or medical practitioner's directions.
• Working with or under the guidance of Registered Nurses, Allied Health professionals and medical practitioners
• Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care e. Palliative Care, Diabetes, Bowel Care/ Suppositories, Catheter Care, Stoma Care, Oxygen and more
• Monitoring and communicating on the customer's wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers
• Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care's policy and procedures, legislative requirements and program specific guidelines (i.e. DVA Community Nursing)
• Provide coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals and Support Staff/Case Managers as required
• Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development
• Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic services: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• travel/transportation - approx 30km radius
• Social support, social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual handling or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
• Supporting participants within Just Better Care's Supported Independent Living Home
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress

What you will need:

• Minimum Diploma of Nursing
• Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
• Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
• Current and satisfactory Federal Police Check, NDIS Workers Screening Card & Blue Card
• AHPRA Registration
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
• Smartphone with internet access
• Proof of of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the community care or health/aged care sector
• Understanding of DVA Community Nursing guidelines or previous community nursing experience
• Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
