The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist – Senior (Placement Support) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level psychological assessment, formulation, brief intervention and positive behaviour support planning
- Apply high level knowledge of cognitive, developmental, neurological and psychiatric conditions for patients to facilitate timely discharge or prevent unnecessary admissions
- Undertake clinical governance activities related to psychology within the multidisciplinary team
- Initiate and contribute to formal clinical research activities that influence standards of clinical practice and delivery of services
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (38 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $ $69.55 per hour

The Placement Support Team is a multidisciplinary team which provides placement and advisory services within the health service for those who require assistance with emergent accommodation solutions or transition to residential care or supported accommodation
