Position Overview

Air Tickets, a Helloworld Travel Group Company, is seeking a full time Business Analyst Consultant to join the Air Tickets Business Systems team.

Reporting to the Operation Development Manager for Air Tickets, the Business Analyst is intermediary between technical support, Accounts, Sales and Air Tickets Development for any enhancements, new projects related to improving Air Tickets online solutions.

As a member of the Helloworld Travel Group - working at Air Tickets will provide you the opportunity to be part of Australia's leading integrated travel businesses. The group encompasses travel brands providing franchised retail services, wholesale products, specialist corporate business travel and ticket distribution services across multiple countries.

What you're accountable for?

As the Business Analyst for Air Tickets, you will be part of a team that is fundamental to the successful positioning of Air Tickets application and software offering.

In particular, you will:

  • Use your analytical skills to quickly learn and apply complex new technologies to support the business so that it is able to deliver innovative travel solutions.
  • Drive awareness and provide travel and accounting requirements to support the software development, planning, testing, and implementation of improved or new software solutions.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate through quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Work with business stakeholders and subject matter expert to understand their problems and needs.
  • Work closely with our software developers to learn and understand all system workflows and dependencies.
  • Create internal and external documents, including system release notes, that describe new, adapted, or existing system processes.

About you

To succeed in this role, you need the following:

  • Year 12 high school equivalency
  • Fares and Ticketing I & II, Business Analyst certificate or equivalent
  • Experience with Global Distribution Systems: Travelport, Amadeus, Sabre.
  • Minimum two years' experience in the Travel Industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word & Excel
  • Experience with JIRA and other agile development tools
  • Exposure to MS SQL and the ability to query and analyse complex data structures.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in web services testing, including Json and XML formats
