Quality Automation Engineer, Mobile Apps

Job Description
As a quality engineer, you will base decisions on metrics while always striving for efficiencies in execution never compromising on quality. You will work on a variety of technologies and testing tools, adding value in proposing all in-compassing solutions. You will work in cross-functional teams to drive transformative change and high-quality commercial outcomes for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working on test automation framework & script creation of Mobile App – Android & IOS
• Build scripts and tools to implement and continuously improve test outcomes
• Working with your squad, other teams and business services to define and deliver a radically improved product
• Collaborate with the product owner, engineers, analysts and other people in your squad to identify risks early and help fix bugs as they arise, improving quality from the outset. Test early and test often
• Work closely with Business Analysts and developers to agree on clear acceptance criteria for both functional and non-functional requirements
• Break down complex requirements into small and independent test scenarios that can be automated
• Drive discussion around test methodologies suitable for different scenarios
• Coach engineers to have test driven development approaches to avoid coding defects
• Design test approaches and optimise test execution across functional and non-functional coverage
• Build scripts and tools to implement and continuously improve test outcomes
• Identify opportunities for testing continuous improvement and implement solutions to perform more effective and efficient testing
• Ensure the necessary hygiene for test case creation, script creation, test execution and defect logging in a system
• Refine acceptance criteria and provide estimates for work
• Report's progress and issues in a timely manner, in particular, to relay issues that might impact quality.

Experience Guidelines

• Extensive experience in Test automation framework creation of mobile apps – both Native & hybrid
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Extensive experience with Appium both IOS & Android
• Proficient in CI/CD integration with Azure/Jenkins
• Experience with tools like Saucelabs / Browserstack
• Strong experience in managing projects involving high test automation coverage.
• Hands on experience of testing applications developed using C#, React, React Native, Web Services
• Good overall experience in Automation, Manual, Browser based, Web Services and Mobile testing.
• Experience in design and implementation of automation frameworks for both UI, API and Mobile.
• Good understanding and implementation experience of Quality Engineering processes.
