Position Summary
The Business Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of Janison's ICAS Assessments products across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this position provides high-level business, administrative and project management support and serves as a key point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders. The role is instrumental in aligning operational activities with strategic goals through schedule coordination, stakeholder engagement, and logistical planning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and report on master schedules and operational plans within the ICAS Assessments unit.
- Lead, support, and communicate regularly with the Business Operations team.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and operational activities, especially those involving international resellers and testing centers.
- Provide expert support and strategic advice for the delivery of assessment products and manage supplier and logistics needs.
- Act as a central contact point across departments, ensuring seamless information flow and alignment.
- Consult with stakeholders to define project scopes, communication strategies, and milestones.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and lead strategic initiatives that enhance business value.
- Manage end-to-end contracts for item and test development, adhering to project management best practices.
- Plan and oversee external events and operational activities, including occasional travel.
- Oversee test delivery and logistics for international resellers and BAU products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients to drive outcomes.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proven experience in business operations, process improvement, or a similar leadership role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in operations management and stakeholder engagement.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in information handling.
- Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint).
- Qualifications in Project Management and/or extensive project management experience.
- Experience with large-scale educational assessments, including product or project management.
- Familiarity with commercial contracts, tenders, and logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of online assessment systems and learning management platforms.
Desirable:
- A customer-first mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to collaboration, accountability, and integrity in the workplace.
- Experience working across multiple time zones and managing remote teams.
