We have an opportunity for a dynamic Accredited Dietitian to join our friendly and supportive team working alongside our Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist and Diabetes Educator within the Southern Downs region. You will be our lead Dietitian in the area responsible for one on one Dietetic consultations and nutrition program delivery (eg. community group talks, supermarket tours and cooking demonstrations).

Healthy Lifestyles Australia (HLA) has provided Dietetic/Nutrition, Sports Dietitian, Exercise Physiology and Diabetes Education services in Queensland for the past 16 years, currently servicing more than 120 rural and metropolitan medical centres and facilities including our head office facilities. We specialize in chronic disease management and prevention, however can assist in a wide variety of cases (e.g. bariatric nutrition, disability nutrition, sports performance, aged care consultation, insurance work, public speaking, group education classes, etc). Our mission is to promote healthy lifestyles in the Australian population and to prevent and manage chronic disease through physical activity and nutrition.

About The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Accredited Dietitian (DA) to become a part of a proactive company and work collaboratively with our other Dietitians, Exercise Physiologist, and Diabetes Educator along with other allied health and medical staff.
You will be working across medical centres, and allied health facilities within Warwick with outreach to Stanthorpe, Killarney and Allora. The successful applicant will be working on a full-time or part-time basis (based on availability of successful candidate), and will be servicing facilities which have an established referral base.
New graduates are welcome to apply however experience will be of value.
**Please note: The successful applicant will be stepping into an existing workload with existing processes, systems, procedures and support.
Position will begin as soon as practical with the first successful candidate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and treatment in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management, eating disorders, bariatric management and body composition management.
- Measure and assess the patients' diet history along with interpreting biochemistry and anthropometric data.
- Public speaking- to present informative talks about a range of health topics on nutrition/health where required including supermarket tours.
- Travel to the required service delivery location and provide exemplary service to your clients. Drivers License and own car is required.
Skills and Experience:
- Accredited (Provisional or Full) Dietitian through the Dietitians Australia (DA) (ESSENTIAL).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport.
- Possess and apply knowledge of evidence based treatment, management and research about a wide range of health issues and diseases including diabetes, obesity, malnutrition, cardiovascular disease, applicable in the field of dietetics.
