Bache Bros, one of South Australia's premier fresh produce suppliers, is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Officer to join our team.

About the Role
This unique position combines both hands-on production and administrative responsibilities.
It's ideal for someone:
- Looking to transition from production into administration or management, or
- Coming from an administrative background who wants a more engaging, on-the-ground role.
You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across production, logistics, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory control systems and maintain stock accuracy
- Analyse stock levels and coordinate replenishment
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet operational and organisational goals
- Manage inventory and stock sheets
- Support production planning and quality control documentation
- Manage the end-to-end inventory management system and processes, ensuring accuracy and resolving or escalating issues as needed
- Work with management to develop and implement best-practice warehouse operations systems
- Train and motivate staff to follow operating procedures and policies
- Improve workflow processes and drive operational efficiency
- Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Monitor all orders and updates, ensuring timely communication across relevant departments
- Oversee biosecurity documentation
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working with data and spreadsheets
- Strong problem-solving and process-improvement mindset
- Clear communication and coordination skills across multiple teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with cloud-based inventory system, web-based portals and databases
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude and team-first mindset
- Customer service and logistics experience
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet daily operational needs
- Qualification in logistics or supply chain management (desirable)
- Previous experience in inventory or warehouse coordination
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
Experience or knowledge of the fruit and vegetable industry will be highly regarded.
Software & Systems
- Microsoft Office 365 (particularly Excel)
- Cloud-based inventory management
- Strong general computer skills
(Training provided where required)
Hours
- 7am – 3pm, Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturday mornings during peak periods
- Some flexibility with hours may be available for the right candidate
- Immediate start
