Bache Bros, one of South Australia's premier fresh produce suppliers, is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Officer to join our team.

About the Role

This unique position combines both hands-on production and administrative responsibilities.

It's ideal for someone:

• Looking to transition from production into administration or management, or
• Coming from an administrative background who wants a more engaging, on-the-ground role.

You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across production, logistics, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee inventory control systems and maintain stock accuracy
• Analyse stock levels and coordinate replenishment
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet operational and organisational goals
• Manage inventory and stock sheets
• Support production planning and quality control documentation
• Manage the end-to-end inventory management system and processes, ensuring accuracy and resolving or escalating issues as needed
• Work with management to develop and implement best-practice warehouse operations systems
• Train and motivate staff to follow operating procedures and policies
• Improve workflow processes and drive operational efficiency
• Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Monitor all orders and updates, ensuring timely communication across relevant departments
• Oversee biosecurity documentation

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Confidence working with data and spreadsheets
• Strong problem-solving and process-improvement mindset
• Clear communication and coordination skills across multiple teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Experience with cloud-based inventory system, web-based portals and databases
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results
• A proactive, "can-do" attitude and team-first mindset
• Customer service and logistics experience
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet daily operational needs
• Qualification in logistics or supply chain management (desirable)
• Previous experience in inventory or warehouse coordination
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)

Experience or knowledge of the fruit and vegetable industry will be highly regarded.

Software & Systems

• Microsoft Office 365 (particularly Excel)
• Cloud-based inventory management
• Strong general computer skills

Hours

• 7am – 3pm, Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturday mornings during peak periods
• Some flexibility with hours may be available for the right candidate
• Immediate start
