An exciting opportunity exists for a Cleanerto join our Property Services Team. This position is located at our Junior Campus in East Launceston. This is a part time position, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 5 hours per day (2:30pm until 7:30pm).

We also have some opportunities for casual Cleaners too, so please reach out if casual work interests you.

We are looking for someone that describes themselves as a go getter, someone with the ability to show initiative and have a go. We are after someone who is willing to listen and eager to learn.

This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of Launceston Church Grammar School facilities and for maintaining consistently high standards at our Junior Campus. Reporting to our Cleaning Supervisor, this position is available for an immediate start and works both School term time and School holidays.

Applicants will have:

  • 2 years' experience cleaning in a commercial environment (preferred but not essential);
  • Experience with vacuuming, dusting and mopping.
  • Previous experience working in a school environment is preferred.
  • Current registration to Work with Vulnerable People [WWVP] (Tasmania), or be eligible for registration; and
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain.

The successful applicant will be working as part of our Property Services team, but specifically as a two (2) person team, alongside another Cleaner at the Junior Campus to get the job done. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Vacuuming
  • Cleaning bathrooms, classrooms and office spaces
  • Wiping down surfaces
  • Window cleaning
