Role Overview
Support the Site Foreman by overseeing day‑to‑day trades activities on site, coordinating small teams of tradespersons and labourers, and ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met. Acting as a junior foreman, this role supervises and mentors less‑experienced crew members, maintaining workflow continuity and upholding site procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate small teams of carpenters, labourers, and apprentices.
- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and Australian Standards.
- Maintain site safety, report incidents, and uphold WHS standards.
- Assist with materials, tools, and small plant management.
- Keep accurate daily records, timesheets, and progress reports.
Skills and Experiences:
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) & Driver's Licence.
- 2-4 years' site experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Skilled in carpentry: formwork, framing, fit-off, finishing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift / EWP licence desirable.
