Are you looking to grow your career in a hands-on, team-oriented environment? South Pacific Seeds, Australia's leading vegetable seed distributor and producer, is seeking a Seed Processing Operator to join our dedicated team at our Griffith Processing Facility.

About the Role:

As a Seed Processing Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our seeds. You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining seed processing equipment to clean, treat, and enhance seeds. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime during peak seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain seed processing equipment
  • Plan and prioritise seed processing tasks
  • Maintain accurate processing records
  • Load and unload trucks as required
  • Handle and apply seed treatment chemicals safely
  • Support product and process improvements through trials and research
  • Assist other departments as needed
About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A strong communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • Confident with numbers and has solid mathematical understanding
  • Organised, hardworking, and a reliable team player
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Committed to quality and safety (WHS compliance is essential)

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or seed cleaning (advantageous)
  • Current Forklift Licence (required)
  • ChemCert certification (advantageous)
  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
