Join Our Team as an Agronomist – Seed Quality and Production Support
Location: Griffith, NSW

We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Agronomist to support our seed quality and production operations at South Pacific Seeds.
About the Role
As the Agronomist – Seed Quality and Production Support, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our commercial seed production through expert coordination of stock seed logistics, trial programs, and field support. This is a dynamic position offering a mix of fieldwork, coordination, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
You'll work alongside our experienced production managers, agronomists, processing operations, and research collaborators.
The position offers an interesting and varied role working with a large range of vegetable species with great long term career potential.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Seed Management
- Maintain accurate stock seed records, including treatments and sowing logistics
- Coordinate seed quality testing and timely distribution
- Liaise with production, lab, and quarantine teams for smooth seed movement
Trial Program Coordination
- Develop and manage trial databases
- Assist with trial setup, assessments, and annual reviews
- Oversee trial seed distribution and recordkeeping
Grow Out Trials & Samples
- Manage grow out trials post-cleaning
- Organise and dispatch export samples for customers
Field Agronomy and Support
- Provide agronomic advice to our contract growers
Research Collaboration
- Support research partners on active projects
Quality Control & Compliance
- Contribute to field quality assurance
- Support continuous improvement of quality systems
What We're Looking For
- Experience in seed production, agronomy, or agricultural operations
- Great organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative
- A commitment to maintaining quality
- Valid Australian work rights
