We provide services to medical practitioners, private hospitals and aged care facilities in both the ACT and regional surrounds (Southern Tablelands and South Coast NSW).

The Opportunity

A full time position has become available for a Pathology courier/driver to join our team and continue to provide excellent customer service to our clients.  This role is responsible for the safe, timely and professional transport of pathology specimens, medical supplies and reports between our collection centres, hospitals, clinics and the main laboratory. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can interact well with people, demonstrate a high level of verbal and written communication skills and have a passion for delivering quality outcomes for patients, doctors and the organisation.

Day to Day duties include:

  • Promote and display our values at all times

  • Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained with our clients

  • Work within already established protocols

  • Safely transport pathology samples from clinics, hospitals and aged care facilities to the laboratory in a timely manner

  • Ensure all samples are transported in compliance with legislation and laboratory protocols

  • Accurately complete run sheets and delivery records

Applicants should possess the following:

  • Current driving licence

  • Excellent driving record and safe road behaviour

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent interpersonal (communication) skills

  • A positive attitude

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable

  • Good attention to detail

  • Work in a fast paced environment

  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and professionalism

  • Be physical fit to lift and carry specimen containers, eskies and medical supplies

  • Available to work a 7 day a week roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
