THE COMPANY

MAK Industrial Water Solutions is a national water & waste water treatment specialist. MAK Water designs & manufactures a wide range of water treatment plants at its Perth workshop, and supports its customers with a network of service teams across Australia.

We are an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of water treatment plants, with a wide range of technologies, and a strong future order book for plants to be installed in Australia and overseas.

THE ROLE

MAK Water currently have a vacancy for an experienced Project Engineer (Project Manager), managing the end to end process of designing, manufacturing and commissioning of water treatment plants. The role requires the individual to be a motivated, self-starter working within a team of Engineers and Draftspersons ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the principle focus of this role is to:

  • Manage projects from design to commissioning
  • Oversee fabrication in MAK Water workshop
  • Factory testing and then site commissioning
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and supplies
  • Provide technical support and solutions to assist in preparation of estimates, quotes and tenders

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred)
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience managing projects
  • Be experienced in design and project management for process plants
  • Have a proactive, constructive approach to resolving problems
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Value safety and quality in all project deliveries
  • Have water industry knowledge or experience (desired)
