Halbuild Pty Ltd is a commercial construction management company based in the Sutherland Shire who deliver high quality projects on time and on budget. We specialise in delivering diverse projects across Government, Commercial, and Local Council sectors, including fit-outs, refurbishments, hazardous material abatement and heritage remediation. As our company grows, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a full-time, 6 month contract for an Estimator to join our team with an immediate start.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Bid Manager & Director and working closely with our Bid and Delivery teams, the Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and compliant price estimates across our current tenders and quotation proposals. You'll play a key role in helping Halbuild maintain its reputation for quality and precision throughout every stage of the tender process.

Your role will require you to:

• Manage all facets of the estimating and pricing process from initial opportunity to submission
• Prepare and analyse trade packages, ensuring timely and accurate quotations
• Complete quantity BOQ's and take-offs.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with documentation and client requirements.
• Contribute to bid strategy, value engineering, and tender methodology development
• Support the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes

About You

To thrive in this role, you'll bring a balance of technical skill, attention to detail, and commercial acumen, along with a proactive attitude and collaborative approach.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Minimum 2+ years of estimating experience in the commercial construction and fitout/refurbishment sector
• Strong understanding of tendering, cost estimating, and trade breakdowns
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and project documentation accurately
• A positive, solution-focused attitude and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Full Australian working rights and a current NSW driver's licence
• Must be able to obtain NSW Police Clearance and DCAC clearance.
