About the role

Due to growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Parts Interpreter to join our team. As a Parts Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and accurately interpreting parts requirements for our clients. This full-time role is integral to the smooth operation of our dealership.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide outstanding customer service by actively listening to customer needs and recommending the most suitable automotive parts and accessories
  • Accurately identify and interpret part numbers, specifications and cross-references to locate the required items
  • Process sales transactions, generate invoices and maintain inventory records
  • Liaise with the workshop team to understand their needs and ensure the right parts are readily available
  • Support the parts counter and stock management to optimise inventory levels and minimise stock shortages
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised work environment
  • Participate in team meetings and training to continuously improve product knowledge and customer service

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter or similar automotive parts role
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to interpret part numbers and cross-references
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Proficient in using computerised parts catalogues and inventory management systems
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
