UNIQLO opened the first store, in Emporium, Melbourne, in April 2014, and as of May 2025 has expanded to 40 stores across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, and Australian Capital Territory.
The Role:
The Visual Merchandiser [Full-time] is responsible for creating and executing visually appealing displays and layouts that attract customers, drive sales, and enhance the overall customer shopping experience. You will work closely with your store management team to ensure that the store's visual presentation aligns with the company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creating and implementing the visual merchandising strategy according to company guidelines
• Install and set up window displays, in-store displays, or supervising contractors hired for this purpose
• Update displays to promote new product launches, collaborations, or to reflect festive/seasonal campaigns
• Ensure correct set up, update and maintenance of in-store POPs, promotional materials and signages, whilst monitoring any issues and providing feedback to relevant teams
• Provide styling suggestions and alternatives according to stock inventory levels and the current local trends
• Support store operations team to maximize team efficiency and customer service when needed
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Visual Merchandising experience preferably in a retail environment
• Knowledge of UNIQLO products and understanding of the Australian and local customer market trends
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards according to company guidelines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross functional teams
• Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and customer service
• Strong creative vision and ability to conceptualize and execute visually appealing displays
• Strong time management and organizational skill, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and meet tight deadlines
Eligibility
Only candidates with full working rights and no restrictions on working hours in Australia are eligible to apply for this position.
Working Hours:
This role will require you to be rostered across a variety of shifts including early mornings, late night trading, weekends, and public holidays.
Please note that it is essential to have your own form of reliable transportation due to early/late hours of work.
