As part of a national pilot program, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Additional Needs Teaching Specialist to uplift teaching practice across a group of centres and embed inclusive, high-quality learning strategies for children with additional needs.

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with centre teams, pedagogical leaders, and educators to build capability, confidence, and connection - ensuring no child is left behind.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will:

Build strong, positive relationships with centre leadership teams to deliver consistent, high-quality coaching and guidance on inclusive teaching and learning.

Support the implementation and embedding of Universal Practices as the foundation for inclusive, high-quality education.

Coach and mentor educators in proactive, playful, and intentional teaching strategies that enhance communication, language, and social-emotional development.

Model the development and implementation of Individual Learning Plans and "in-the-moment" strategies for children with additional needs.

Work closely with pedagogical leaders to build the capability and confidence of their teams to support all children's learning and development.

Facilitate Communities of Practice to encourage critical reflection, collaboration, and shared learning.

Support the implementation and evaluation of All Children Communicate, including the use of the monitoring tool for children from birth to five years.

You'll bring to the table:

You are an experienced Early Childhood Teacher with a deep commitment to inclusive education and a passion for empowering others. You bring strong pedagogical knowledge, a coaching mindset, and a genuine belief that all children can thrive when given the right support.

A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) from a recognised university.

Demonstrated experience as an Early Childhood Teacher with a focus or interest in additional needs education (Birth to 8 years).

Proven experience in practice uplift, in-centre coaching and capability building across multiple centres.

Strong understanding of child development, learning diversity, and early identification of need.

Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standard, and inclusive education frameworks.

Excellent planning, time management, and communication skills.

A current Working with Children Check and/or Police Clearance relevant to your state or territory.

Desirable:

Experience facilitating or contributing to Communities of Practice.
