The Opportunity

We're an evolving RTO transitioning to a higher education provider, with exciting plans to offer Bachelor degrees. We're seeking a qualified Accounts Support Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity with excellent growth prospects, in a fun and relaxed working environment. Our office is conveniently located on the inner north side of Brisbane, with free onsite parking and just a 100m walk from Bowen Hills train station.

What's the role?

As an Accounts Support Officer, you will join a passionate and rapidly growing vocational education business that truly embraces teamwork, innovation and macro level thinking. You'll engage with employees on all levels, share your expertise to guide them on all stages of the employee lifecycle, assess and provide constructive feedback, respond to enquiries, and collaborate with our management team. Experience in the following areas, or across most of these is a valuable plus:

  • Fostering strong collaboration with team leaders while championing innovation and driving proactive improvements in business processes

  • Provide administrative support to the CFO and wider organisation.

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance department.

  • Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Reconcile bank statements and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.

  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Maintain financial databases and spreadsheets.

  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding account-related queries.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Help with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as required

  • Tech-savvy in using accounting software and Excel/spreadsheets.

  • Helpful and responsive in dealing with internal and external queries.

  • Open to ongoing training and development in financial practices.
