Our Whitehorse Early Learning Services (WELS) team provides high quality education and care for children from 6 weeks to school age. We create safe, inclusive and engaging environments where every child can thrive. Our educators work closely with families and the community to support children's learning, wellbeing and development.
About the role:
As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you'll work alongside experienced educators to deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences for children. You'll support daily care routines, help maintain safe and inclusive environments, and build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
This role is part of a 12–18 months traineeship, giving you hands on experience while you work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
About you:
You're someone who enjoys working with young children and is keen to learn. You value teamwork, respect and inclusion and are ready to take on a hands on role that supports children's growth and wellbeing.
To be successful, you will have:
A genuine interest in working with young children and helping them learn and grow
Willingness to follow guidance and work well as part of a team
Friendly, respectful communication skills with children, families and colleagues
Openness to learning new skills through structured training and on-the-job experience and commitment to work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Paid while you earn; this traineeship pays up to $1,255.60 PW+ 12% Superannuation with cost of certification covered, mentorship and training provided in the role and release days for studying.
