The role

We're looking for an experienced rostering professional to manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and rostering of casual and permanent staff to meet operational requirements.

In this diverse and fast-paced role, you'll work closely with the Food & Beverage, Facilities and Track departments to ensure all processes are run efficiently and effectively. You'll take the lead in driving process improvement and cost management.

To succeed in this role, you'll be highly motivated and have a proven track record working with a large seasonal workforce. You'll have exceptional leadership and communication skills where you will lead a small team and partner cross functionally.  You will be results orientated, have an eye for detail, process driven and have experience working with rostering and recruitment platforms.

Working week – please note

Some Saturday working is required through Carnival seasons, for which time in lieu or flexible working days will be offered.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Manage & coordinate the Rostering Team
  • Manage the scheduling and rostering of the Food and Beverage, Facilities and Tracks Departments
  • Rostering and maintenance of correct casual staffing levels – Rosters up to 500+ staff and temps in carnival season
  • Manage the overall co-ordination of the recruitment and onboarding of casual staff
  • Maintaining records of uniforms
  • Processing of HR administration such as VEVO checks, RSA's, relevant certificates, terminations, pay queries, change of employee details
  • Produce and disseminate accurate reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate employee records, licences and accreditations
  • A background in hospitality would be considered advantageous
