Onshore Technical Lead

Position Summary
As a talented Software Engineer, Candidate will get an opportunity to understand the client business requirements and contribute to the design with deep experience in Cloud data platforms, ETL pipeline automation, and test engineering leadership and learn new technologies and working in agile environment. This role involves developing software solutions and automated validation for complex enterprise data systems, using cloud-native tools and best practices. Candidate will be responsible for managing in house Data Analytics Platform that integrates claim, portfolio and pricing data from various source systems like Guidewire, Guidewire Datahub, Evolve, Anubis, PEGA, AOPCICS, CTPCICS, CTP. The successful candidate will also lead testing efforts, guide offshore teams, and ensure quality across Cloud-based data engineering projects.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a focus on developing reusable, maintainable code.
• Experience designing and developing software components and frameworks as part of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• 3 + years of experience in Guidewire application suite especially Guidewire Datahub, Claim Center and Policy Center
• 9 + years of experience of working in various IT projects in the Insurance industry, acquaintance with various industry standard models
• Hands-on experience with Any cloud platforms, like:
• Azure Data Factory
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure DevOps (for CI/CD integration)
• Solid skills in SQL for data processing, transformation validation, and performance optimization.
• Experience with test automation frameworks used as part of engineering quality assurance.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to ETL processes and data pipeline validation, with the ability to lead technical testing efforts while maintaining engineering best practices.
• Experience of analyzing financial data from different sources like Evolve, AOPCICIS, CTPCICS etc.
• Should have exposure to any of the cloud technologies like AWS, Azure
• Experienced in developing automated validation solutions for ETL pipelines between databases using Python, as part of end-to-end software delivery.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components and automation frameworks to support scalable data engineering and validation solutions.
• Build and enhance Python-based automation tools to validate ETL workflows between databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop reusable code for data validation, transformation testing, and reconciliation across large-scale data platforms.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of automation assets and software utilities.
• Work on data engineering projects deployed on cloud-based platforms, collaborating with teams to ensure testable, reliable, and high-performing systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and analysts to align development and automation goals with project requirements.
• Lead and mentor team members (including offshore teams) deliver high-quality software and automation solutions.
• Engage in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, with a focus on iterative improvements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of automation scripts and software tools in development and production environments
• Proposing automation techniques and tools that can improve the current practices in development and testing.
• Act as a lead point of contact for test strategy, defect triage, and quality assurance across multiple data streams or workstreams

Qualification
Salary Range: >$100,000
