Position: Mechanic Tradesperson

Location: Newcastle  

Start: Immediate

  • Full time hours
  • $49.57 per hour + Super

Our government client is seeking a trade qualified Mechanical Tradesperson for an immediate start at their Waratah Works Centre. The primary purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on a range of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.   The working hours are 6am - 4pm, Mon-Fri (9-day fortnight).  

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Trade qualification as an Automotive Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
  • HR Truck Licence preferred
  • HVAIS accreditation an advantage
  • General Construction Industry White Card
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and work procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively in a team environment
  • Ability to take responsibility for personal safety and safety of others in the workplace.

  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Rights to Work in Australia
