Join Our Team at Amana Living and Make a Difference in Residential Care

At Amana Living, we are passionate about providing high-quality residential care and ensuring our residents and their families feel supported and valued throughout their care journey. We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Care Assessor to help us achieve this mission by guiding potential clients through the assessment and admissions process with compassion and professionalism.

About the Role

As a Care Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Amana Living's residential care facilities maintain high occupancy rates while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll engage directly with potential residents and their families, assess their needs, and support them every step of the way—from their initial inquiry to a smooth transition into our care. This role is 76 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a compassionate and informative contact for potential residents and their families
  • Ability to listen to prospective clients' needs and match them to the features of vacant accommodation and residential care sites.
  • Conduct assessments of clinical and behavioural needs, ensuring a thorough understanding of client requirements.
  • Guide clients and families through the assessment and admission process and help them navigate the residential aged care fee entry requirements
  • Coordinate and lead tours of our care facilities, highlighting the quality and benefits of our services, facilities and accommodation.
  • Operate as a key partner to the Customer Service and Residential Care teams, to facilitate an excellent customer experience for our new customers.
  • Working with the Relationship Co-ordinator to maintain ongoing communication with families while they wait for a vacancy, fostering trust.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including referral groups, social workers, and care providers.

  • Registered Nurse qualifications and current AHPRA registration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
