Your New Opportunity:
A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Project & Planning Officer to join our Defence Programmes Group (DPG). Based out of our Henderson location, with flexibility across Hazlemere and Rockingham, you'll create a vital link between the Australian Defence Force and our Operations team - helping to plan and deliver critical maritime maintenance activities.
This is the perfect next step for a Project Officer with 3 - 5 years' experience, keen to grow their career in a collaborative, high-integrity team.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate marine maintenance schedules for Defence maritime platforms.
- Support planning and documentation for Commonwealth contracts.
- Liaise with prime Contractor and internal teams to align on maintenance timelines.
- Maintain relationships with Defence customers and Penske teams.
- Monitor progress of maintenance activities and provide accurate reporting.
- Support with technical documents like Work Instructions and Test Plans.
- Attend planning meetings and contribute to workflow forecasts.
- Identify and resolve planning conflicts with Defence partners.
- Model safe working behaviour in line with Penske's values of Ownership, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity and Care
About you:
- 3 -5 years' experience in a planning or project role.
- Strong Microsoft Project or Primavera skills.
- Experience in the diesel engine or mechanical industry preferred.
- Previous exposure to Commonwealth planning systems highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, detail-focused mindset.
- Be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1.
