About the role

Welcome Disability Service are looking for a passionate and experienced Allied Health Professional to join their dedicated team in Launceston, Tasmania. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy and support services to our participants with varying disabilities and needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalised plans for participants
  • Deliver a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Support participants to achieve their goals and maximise their independence and quality of life
  • Collaborate with participants, their families and other allied health professionals to coordinate holistic care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our service delivery

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Developmental Education, Social Work, or Behaviour Support
  • Current registration with the appropriate Allied Health professional board
  • Demonstrated experience in the disability sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants from all backgrounds
  • Strong problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
