Are you passionate about working with children and creating a nurturing, engaging environment? We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team as Casual Educators.

As a Casual Educator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and meaningful experiences for school-aged children during before and after-school hours. Responsibilities:

Supervision and Care:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for school-aged children attending the OSHC program.
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of children during all program activities

Program Implementation:

  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate and engaging activities for children, including sports, arts and crafts, and educational games.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages children's social interaction and skill development.

Collaboration with Team:

  • Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to coordinate daily activities and ensure a smooth and organized OSHC program.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Provide updates on children's activities and progress to parents as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including emergency evacuation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for Out of School Hours Care.

Resource Management:

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Support with the management of program resources, including supplies and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with school-aged children in a similar setting is preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Working with Vulnerable Peoples (WwVP) clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Availability:

This is a casual position with flexible hours based on the needs of the OSHC program. Candidates Afternoon (2:45pm - 6:00pm) shifts during the school term.

Telopea Park School, 75 New South Wales Crescent, Barton, 2600, Ngunnawal Country.
