In this role, you will support the Environment Governance team to deliver critical outcomes, including enhancing Fortescue's environmental management system and ensuring timely, accurate regulatory reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about environmental compliance and continuous improvement to make a real impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Coordination and preparation of annual regulatory reports for external agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Collection and recording of emissions data for National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of Fortescue's environmental management system.
- Support Principal and Senior Environmental Advisors in the Environment Governance team as required.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering.
- 2-3 years minimum experience in the resource sector, preferably in a similar environmental role.
- Knowledge of West Australian environmental legislation and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.
- Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively.
- Experience building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the Pilbara environment (desirable).
