About the role

Reporting to the Deputy Head of School, this position oversights the delivery of the National School of Medicine 'Medicine Associated Programs (MAP)'. The National Head of MAP provides academic leadership and administrative oversight ensuring the quality, integrity, and strategic development of postgraduate offerings, supports student progression, and fosters a vibrant postgraduate community.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide managerial leadership to the national MAP team.
  • Oversee postgraduate program design and delivery to ensure academic quality and relevance.
  • Coordinate admissions and enrolments in collaboration with administrative teams and program coordinator.
  • Support student progression through advising, monitoring, and intervention strategies.
  • Chair MAP related meetings, including student progress and curriculum planning.
  • Leads program reviews and curriculum development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
  • Foster a supportive postgraduate community through engagement and communication.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including industry and professional bodies.
Qualifications, skills & experience
  • Possession of a PhD in a relevant discipliner
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching at Master's level or higher or in medical, health or professional practice-based education settings.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of academic governance and curriculum development.
  • A capacity to work collaboratively with relevant staff to implement and maintain effective systems and processes for ensuring the quality delivery of the Medicine Associated Programs, and for leading continuous quality improvement.
