Regional Manager – North Queensland
Full time role
Due to the growth of our North Queensland operations, KPAT Hotels is now recruiting a regional manager. If you're an ambitious hospitality professional ready to step up and you're hungry for a role where you can shape a business and make a real impact, this role is for you.
Lead passionate venue teams across multiple premium venues, deliver business growth, and take your career to the next level. Enjoy a hands-on role with an even split between operational and administrative duties.
ABOUT KPAT HOTELS
KPAT Hotels is an independent hospitality group with a growing presence across Queensland. We own and operate a diverse and evolving mix of hotels, pubs, restaurants, conference venues and catering services. We are a vibrant team and hugely ambitious. We are looking for people who share our philosophy of making things happen—this is a place for doers.
We believe hospitality is about creating spaces and moments that bring people together, celebrate local culture, and leave a lasting impression. From landmark pubs to distinctive hotels and memorable experiences, we are committed to fostering genuine connections between our guests, the communities they live in and the experiences they seek.
LEAD OUR NORTH QUEENSLAND VENUES
This is a chance to shape the future of three dynamic venues and deliver tangible results, while also spearheading our growth in the region with more venues planned in the 2026 pipeline. As the Regional Manager – North Queensland, you'll drive the evolution of our venues, manage each venue team, and be responsible for revenue growth from day one. Our current properties include Oaks Townsville Hotel, The Metropole Townsville, a newly renovated heritage-listed pub with beautifully appointed function spaces, and the Great Western Hotel in Hughenden, a quintessential outback pub with a rich history and exciting renovations and upgrades planned for later this year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, and working closely with the leadership team, this hands-on role will require you to drive the success of three established venues and any future initiatives we undertake in the region. This role will be assisted by an experienced central support office including finance, marketing and operational teams.
· Achieve critical strategic targets and revenue goals to strengthen and grow each business – we're looking for someone with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
· Oversee the development, implementation and review of business plans for all venues
· Take ownership of financial performance of each operation – from financial results to operational excellence
· Monitor and optimise labour efficiency, food costs, and operational budgets
· Develop and execute operational playbooks, SOPs, and process improvements to support scalable growth
· Foster a strong, respectful team culture and mentor departmental leaders to develop team performance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
· 5 years of senior operations leadership experience in high-end hospitality venues and/or hotels
· Financially savvy, with a track record of driving profitability and revenue, managing P&Ls and achieving year-on-year growth
· A people-first leader who thrives on developing teams and fostering connection
· A team player who is adept at collaborating across venues, business units and teams at all levels
· Adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented, ready to tackle a fast-paced environment
