Do you want to be stimulated each working day by finding solutions for clients on how the tax law might apply to them?

We have a position for an ambitious and dedicated individual to work in our well-established tax consultancy division. Reporting to an Associate Director, this is an interesting role, with a diverse client base.

The role involves writing complex tax advice letters and reports to our clients, managing client relationship and working closely with other team members in the tax consulting and business services divisions.

The position requires a person with:

  • strong English writing and communication skills,
  • an ability to understand factual situations,
  • an ability to undertake tax research,
  • strong Australian tax technical knowledge,
  • an ability to give accurate and succinct advice on how Australia's and international tax laws might apply to clients,
  • with proven experience in managing client relationships, and
  • the ability to engage in business development and marketing.

The person must have relevant qualifications for the role for example a commerce, accounting and/or law degree, be a Chartered Accountant, CPA or Chartered Tax Adviser. Previous experience in a tax consulting role or in a senior technical role in the private sector or the ATO is essential for this role. Experience in Excel, Word and accounting/tax software is desirable.

A market rate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with experience. The position is located in Canberra Australia and cannot be occupied remotely.
